511+ Runners For Our 14th Annual St. Joseph Jubilee Jog 5 K!

Dear Friends and Supporters of the St. Joseph Jubilee Jog:

Thanks for all of your prayers we dodged an incredible weather bullet for with all the thunder, lightning and rain early this morning - beginning at 3 am - it felt as if Noah and his Ark could have sailed through the north shore. Here's the picture I took of Bent Park (Evanston) on the way to St. Joseph School this morning. I took this picture hoping and praying that the weather would continue to improve for our run.

Upon arriving at St. Joseph school the first thing I did was thank one of the nuns who were so kind to move their cars to the other side of the parking lot to make room for our food and beverage tables. Here's a shot of the sun rising over St. Joseph School. (click pictures to enlarge)

We had 361 runners registered as of Saturday and another 150+ runners sign up this morning for our run for a total of 511 + runners.

Kara Pellaton from Wilmette was our first place female finisher with a time of 20:29 - 20th place overall (pace 6:36):

I will be posting more pictures, names and videos soon.

I'd like to acknowledge the support of my co-chairs Maria McCanna and Janet Walberer and on their behalf I'd like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for rallying behind this great cause to pull of a very successful 14th Annual Jog!

Peace and God Bless,

Fred Smart
